Epitome of Summer

from $65.00

Sparks Lake is really one of my favorite spots to visit during the spring and summer months and I oftentimes feel like I can't get up here enough. It's a great place for photographers, campers and adventurers alike!

This was definitely a fun photo to take! As the afternoon went on in Bend today, I looked at the clouds a couple of times to try to get an idea of what cloud cover might occur at sunset, and while I didn't know how well it would turn out the sky looked reasonably promising. I headed to this spot as soon as I could this evening, and upon arriving I met probably at least 4 or 5 other photographers. Peak light faded almost as fast as it began, and I took probably at least 3 different frames and knew that this composition was my favorite as soon as I settled on it. To me, this photo is an excellent reminder that there is no substitute for being at the right place at the right time!

It was a warm and pleasant evening at the lake, minus the mosquitos. I hope you all enjoy my take on the epitome of summer in Central Oregon!!
